More Cops Called to Casa Spears

The cops have returned to the Summit. Perhaps even more surprisingly, so have Britney Spears' parents.

Police were called to Spears' gated community Monday night, following an apparent dustup between the singer and her steady companion Sam Lutfi.

The cops, however, weren't there to referee the fight; instead, police cited several individuals for illegal parking, Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Officer Mike Lopez told E! Online.

After the LAPD sent the shutterbugs scurrying, Spears' hitherto estranged parents, Jamie and Lynne, rushed over to the house, a source close to the family told E! News exclusively.

They wanted to make sure Spears was okay, after learning from the media that their daughter had fought with Lutfi, the source said.

Developer's track record questioned

SAULT STE. MARIE - The I-500 Track is not the first site selected by Philip Garforth of Legacy Quest Developments, Inc. with the Michigan location becoming an option only after a proposed development in Sault, Ontario began with a great deal of hope and hoopla - only to end in disappointment and threats of a lawsuit.

According to reports published by SooToday.com, Sault, Ont. officials entered into an agreement with Garforth in Nov. of 2005 to develop a major tourist attraction on a 15-acre parcel along the city's waterfront. Billed as "The Gateway Project," the development was going to create hundreds of jobs and attract, by some estimates, 200,000 visitors a year to an indoor arboretum and specialized movie theater.

But, after two years of squabbling, finger-pointing and unfinished paperwork, the Sault Ste.

Henry Clay: Man of Kentucky returned often to Columbus

Henry Clay came out of the west in the early years of America's experience as a country and captured the heart -- and some would say the soul -- of the nation. He was a man with all the attributes of a successful statesman. He was young. He was handsome. He was articulate and extraordinarily knowledgeable. He was of the people but something more.

He was a man who looked like a president, talked like a president and, quite often, acted like a president. But he never became the president. After a long and often hard-fought political career, Clay remarked that he "would rather be right than be president."

His old enemy, Andrew Jackson, took extraordinary pleasure in noting that "he was neither."

Henry Clay was a man of Kentucky, and that is where his home and his legacy remain.

They are now free on bail.Anderson posted $240,000 bail on Tuesday after his "aunts scraped together some money," said his lawyer John Duran. Anderson appeared in court Friday wearing a suit. Kellogg to release them without bail.Kellogg refused the request, saying the seriousness of the alleged crime is too great. He said the suspects "showed callousness in action and behavior" by causing a fire that injured six firefighters and destroyed 86 structures, including 53 homes."All the sorrys in the world don't change the circumstances," Kellogg said.Kellogg, a resident of the Malibu area, also addressed the issue of political pressure that has come up with this case.

Protester Waves Blood-Colored Hands in Rice`s Face

An anti-war protester waved blood-colored hands in U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's face at a congressional hearing on Wednesday and shouted "war criminal!", but was pushed away and detained by police.

Rice, an architect of President George W. Bush's Iraq policy, appeared unfazed by the incident, which occurred when she entered a House of Representatives meeting room to testify at a hearing on U.S. Middle East policy.

"Out!," shouted the chairman of the Foreign Relations committee, Rep. Tom Lantos, as police moved in to hustle the woman protester away.

Lantos, a California Democrat, also demanded the removal of several other demonstrators from the Code Pink organization, an anti-war group that often disrupts hearings on Capitol Hill.

"What are you doing, what are you doing?" the protesters screamed as police dragged them away.

Hot spill inspired mouldmaker's new business line

Instead of crying over spilled coffee, Joe Cappellino has done something about it.

The 42-year-old Windsor-area mouldmaker has designed a sturdy container to carry takeout beverage trays. Anyone who's ever mopped up a car seat or carpet after a flimsy paper tray has spilled can appreciate his Traybilizer.

It has grips that keep it from sliding, an indentation for catching spills and two large spaces for placing your thumbs for a better hold.
