| Madison Murder Victim Identified
Marino was a Madison neighborhood activist. Police officials are looking for a person of interest. Marino had pushed hard to stop a Park Street, storm sewer project from extending into Monona Bay, near his West Shore Drive home. Authorities say Marino was found Monday afternoon in an alley right near his home. Officials say he had been stabbed several times, with a sharp object. Officials say the violence may have taken place inside Marino's home. Assistant Madison Police Chief Randy Gaber will not comment on whether there was a break-in at Marino's home, but does not rule out a stranger carrying out this crime. "We want to make sure the community is aware that this is something that may be a random act." One of the victim's neighbors, Dianne McCaughey, says she instictively thought about the efforts made by Marino and another neighbor, Seth Nicholson, to stop the relief sewer project, when she learned of Marino's death.

Sentencing delayed for killer who chopped up body
Leonardo Garcia Gonzalez Jr., 23, chopped off Lampkin's head and legs after shooting him execution-style in April 2006. Gonzalez stuffed the remains of the 23-year-old Salem man into a duffel bag and asked the son of a McMinnville farmer to feed them to the pigs. The farmer's son, however, placed the bag inside an empty barrel, where it was found months later by Salem detectives acting on a tip. Lampkin's friends and relatives called Gonzalez a "terrible person" capable of "inconceivable cruelty, terror and torment." "It's like they took away his identity when they took away his head," testified Denise Mullins, Lampkin's mother. "They reduced Christopher to something unrecognizable even to his own mother." Background: H Gonzalez faces 25 years to life for the murder.
Nearing point of no return DISCUSS
Please someone tell me why is this guy is still coaching in the NBA and our Atlanta Hawks. Since management can not do it. We the people must say (Your'e Fired!!!) at all home games to get the attention of management, until someone pays attention. This guy really sucks…Ok I am though trashing him. But I got to give Salim props for holding his tongue for now. Plus last night he got playing time as did Solo, but I am still mad and can not understand why Mario West is not playing he is a beast on defense and can shut down some (PG) when the time comes when he playing…I think we need a trade, my bad blockbuster trade. ZazaP/Lwright/Sclaxton/Salim for Jason Kidd and pick a center from the d-league perhaps….Quacks Away….Duck3000 .
