Israel Reflects On New York 9/11, Gaza and Katrina

Jerusalem---September 11.....That hurt. That really hurt. Writing that date line. One for which many of us dread. September 11 or 9/11. Words that pour out with tears, pain and suffering.

In Israel, Europe, Asia - throughout the world many remember and reflect. Mostly from broadcast images we viewed from a plastic box we call TV. It is through this electronic box that we view both fiction and nonfiction. Where reality gets blurred with fantasy. But not for those who were in New York or Washington. Not for the relatives who lost loved ones on one of four hijacked aircraft which never arrived at their final destination.

In Israel, we think about Gaza and Disengagement. Last month the settlers were evacuated, this morning it is for the Israel Defense Forces to lower a blue and white flag for one final time.

Internet Swedish Authorities to File Charges against The Pirate Bay ...

This week, however, it appears that The Pirate Bay's past may just catch up with it, as Swedish prosecutors announced late last week that they will file formal charges against The Pirate Bay's administrators on January 31.

Sweden's announcement follows a similar statement of intent announced late last year, which in turn followed up a "vow" by Swedish prosecutors to charge the site with piracy.

Rather than attack The Pirate Bay itself, Swedish authorities accused the site's administrators of accessory and conspiracy to break copyright law – charges that carry fines at best and a couple years in prison at worst. While an exact list of the individuals to be charged was not released, it is expected that such a list contains The Pirate Bay's public faces – Peter "brokep" Sunde, Gottfrid "anakata" Svartholm, and Fredrik "TiAMO" Neij, as well as Swedish neo-fascist Carl Lundström, who hosted the site via his company, Rix Telecom.

At media day, Moss a gentle Pat

I can't say I regret things, because it's already happened. There's nothing I can do."

Attribute it to Moss' acceptance of the Patriot Way, or to the fact that he is, after all, in his 10th season and two weeks shy of his 31st birthday. Whatever the case, his inability to be perturbed might have been the least-predictable outcome of the day - especially since he did say he played "angry" as a younger man.

"I think I've grown and matured, and I think the game has helped me grow and mature," he said.

So, no pyrotechnics, no outbursts, no reactions that would make Randy Moss' Super Bowl media day debut unforgettable and destined to live forever in cyberspace.

That's it.
